CTN BOT

Robotic
rebar tying.

Designed to accelerate horizontal rebar tying and reduce labour costs on large concrete projects. The robot secures bar intersections with wire.

Evaluate CTN BOT
for your project.

Send reinforcement drawings, mat spacing, tying volume and labour cost. Our team reviews suitability and agrees pilot criteria. Price and delivery follow a technical review.

Stage: CAD and simulation review. Physical ties have not yet been tested. Site trials follow bench qualification and safety approval.

Baseline CAD: R25-041. Separate running-gear study: R25-048. Results from different revisions do not qualify one machine.

Geometry review · 0413 596

nominal BRep pairs

No unintended intersections >0.01 mm³ in the reviewed set. Not a strength or full continuous-motion test.

Conditional simulation · 04811/12

traversals completed

Six upper crossings, approximately 2.04 m. Assumed 30 kg mass in successful nominal cases. 40 kg / 5 N: stalled.

Field validation0

verified physical tests

Actual tie quality, throughput, accuracy, mass, life and safety still require testing.

Simulation conditions & open risks

R25-048: four bounded drives, rigid smooth rebar, imposed masses, friction and resistance. 96/96 isolated returns at 0/5 N are not cement-contamination tests. Gearbox backdrive up to approximately 261 rpm needs OEM review. Stalling persists at 40 kg. Full combined movement, actual currents, heat and strength are unqualified.

Basis: R25-041 and R25-048 verification summaries · 14 Oct 2026. CAD animation shows the layout, not verified autonomy.

Calculation method

Accepted output = gross output × uptime × acceptance. Robot hours = scope / accepted output + setup. Costs include operator, maintenance, energy, depreciation, consumables for all attempts and mobilisation. Manual labour uses accepted output per person. Break-even exists only if robot variable cost is lower. Add tax, financing and unmodelled risks to other costs. Robot hours are not the calendar duration of a complete crew.

Site
requirements.

The area is selected from drawings and a site review. A pilot decision follows bench qualification.

01

Horizontal mats

Prepared support and a continuous route. Vertical reinforcement and arbitrary obstacle avoidance are not claimed.

02

Ø10 / Ø12 / Ø16

Diameters used in the R25-048 simulation at 200 mm spacing. Simulation conditions, not a certified tying range.

03

Clearance below the mat

25 mm is a design target. Required clearance must be checked with the exact tying tool, bar diameters and mat deflection before site qualification.

04

Laps & deflection

Flexible mats, ribbing, protruding wire, edges and combined movements require dedicated tests.
